The story, purpose and people behind the Nzema Association in the Diaspora.
A movement built on heritage
The Nzema Association in the Diaspora (NAD) was founded in 2018 by Nzema people living abroad who shared a common conviction: that distance from home should never mean disconnection from it. What started as informal conversations among professionals, families and community elders across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and France grew into a structured, nonprofit organization.
Today, NAD serves as a unifying platform — bringing together Nzema chapters worldwide to pool resources, share knowledge and channel the diaspora’s collective strength toward the sustainable development of Nzemaland.
Our proudest achievement to date is the acquisition of 30.8 acres of land in Ehoaka, Jomoro District, where our flagship Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Hospital & Research Center is being developed — a testament to what a united diaspora can build.
